Yang Weifan, born in 1956, is a native of Anhui Province, China. He is an internationally renowned art master, a world-class exemplary figure, a national treasure-level artist, and a representative artist at the national level. 

Recognized as a leading figure in China's art scene, he serves as an official artist for Belt and Road international gifts, a first-class national fine arts artist, and a council member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. He is also an elite international artist, a member of the presidium of the Calligraphers Association of Central Government Agencies, and an honorary chairman of the National Treasure-Level Central New Celebrity Archives. 

A senior national calligrapher, Yang is honored as a "Calligraphy Master of the People's Republic of China," a People's Artist of China, and a special advisor to the National Culture Network. He holds the position of Vice President of the Chinese People's Art Research Institute and serves as an art consultant for state guests of the People's Republic of China. 

A recipient of the China Calligraphy Lanting Award and a beneficiary of the State Council Special Subsidy, he is also an art advisor for the Cultural Promotion Committee of the China Cultural Promotion Association, a specially appointed art consultant for CCTV, and a visiting professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. An expert model of the Republic's think tank and a member of the Central Academy of Fine Arts' think tank, Yang is a featured contributor to the "Calligraphy Critic" program by the China Media Culture Industry Development Center. 

He is a special advisor to the Central Art Masters Painting and Calligraphy Academy, listed in the Ministry of Culture’s Art Talent Database, and a spokesperson for intangible cultural heritage transmission. He serves as Vice President of the World Intangible Heritage Research Institute and is recognized as one of the most beautiful representatives of Chinese historical heritage. A legendary figure among China's great artists, Yang is also a council member of the (Hong Kong) Chinese Calligraphers Association, a doctoral supervisor at Oxford College of Art in the UK, and lifetime honorary president of Beijing Huaxia Lanting Painting and Calligraphy Academy.

 He is a member of the Art Investment Professional Committee of the China Commercial Joint-Stock Enterprise Economic Federation, Art Ambassador for the 2022 Winter Olympics, Cultural Ambassador between China and France, and Art Ambassador for Sino-New Zealand cultural exchange. He is a specially invited editorial committee member of the "Great Dictionary of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Through the Ages," a member of the Australian Calligraphers Association, and a cultural ambassador for ASEAN exchanges. 

In 2023, he was named Art Exchange Ambassador for the Olympic Art Congress and Global Promoter of Chinese Culture. As Chief Recommender for World Brand Culture (Global Art Leader), he has been specially appointed as art advisor for the "Great Collection of World Treasure-Level Art Masters." He is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the World Art Yearbook, a prominent international art master of China's new era, and a contemporary world-class artist from China. …
